None of that worked out
In last week's post I talked about doing some things on weeknights and some things on weekends and keeping track of it all in an undated planner I have and yada-yada-yada. Yeah, none of that really worked out for me. The undated planner is a smallish weekly one and I just want to track things done or that need doing: social media posts, postings for websites, etc. Brief things so I know when things were done. I need to get through my courses and be ready for the new year. I have done some stuff, but there is so much more I need to do. I will be spending my break getting all this set up and ready to run. We go away on New Year's eve and don't return until January 2nd that I have to have everything done and ready to go by then. Whew, lots of pressure and lots to do. I can do if I focus and stick to it.
Today I'm going to work some more on my Etsy store and I think I might dip a little into my Shopify store too. I want them to be consistent so when someone goes to either one they don't look so drastic and different. I am NOT going to work on creating anything this weekend, even though I want to. I'm going to focus on learning. Working on my stores. Figuring out some collections I can develop. Things like that. I want to have a solid plan in place before the new year starts. I want to know what I'm doing, when I'm doing it and not leave anything to chance. I do not want to walk around here going 'what should I work on now?' I want to have a product plan and a social media plan. I need to have everything in place for the entire year. Okay, I don't need to have the details for the whole year, but I do need to have a map to follow. I want to also release some collections for designs. That requires double the work. I need to create the designs and then make the item. But I can do it. If I have a plan and I know where I'm going and what I'm doing, I can totally do this. Also, the collections do not have to match. So if I'm doing a Valentine's day collection on my one site, I don't have to do it on the other. I could focus one something else. So, yeah, I need to figure out what will work best on each site. Also, do I want to focus on holidays or do I just want to focus on collections. Some people do both. They have a couple of holidays they do during the year, but then they just focus on different kinds of collections. I could do either. There is just so much to figure out and decide on. And I just need to decide on it. Once I decide and have a plan, I will be a lot more settled and it will be easier to switch things up as I go.
So this is going to take a lot of brain power that I'm not sure I actually have this weekend. I will do some classes though, I can follow along pretty easily.
