A little more tough love
So my tough love from the other day worked. I've been focusing on my business for a few hours every day and my Etsy store is just about ready to open. The goal is to get it open today. I can do that with some dedicated effort. So that has really worked out well. After I get the Etsy store open, I'm switching my focus to Amazon and getting that thing up and running. But that's for later in the week.
Today I want to talk about my health. And my real lack of attention to it.
I got my Lumen in March. It is now June. That means I have had my Lumen for 3 months. Has anything changed in that time? NO!! I started the Aloha Challenge in April. Has anything changed since then? NO!! So I am all talk. 'I'm gonna do this....and I'm gonna do that....and this will be great' blah, blah, blah. I don't have any follow through. WTF?????
I am home for summer break. I have been for 2 weeks and I will be for a few more weeks. This is the perfect time to really work on the Lumen and my health since I have nothing else taking up my brain space. I have the time to workout. Multiple times a day if I wish. I have the freedom to eat what and when I want. I'm done. I'm done with excuses. I'm done with the laziness. I'm done freaking feeling like I'm not doing enough. I. AM. DONE.
Okay, so much like my post about my business, let's see how I can work this out.
I will walk the canal every single day. I enjoy that and it's a great way to start my day.
I will go to the gym Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. That's 4 days a week, that's a good number of visits.
On Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, I will do Supernatural. I enjoy that. It's low impact and not as strenuous as a gym workout. So I will do that.
My standing desk has been raised and it is not going down again. It is up for good. I still have my table that I work at that is sitting. So if I have something to work on I can sit, otherwise, computer work is all done standing. I got a cool little rocker board to stand on that is actually quite comfortable. And it rocks.
I will get 10,000 steps a day. Every. Single. Day. I have a walking pad and it's going to come out so I get my steps in.
None of these things take a huge amount of time. It's just a matter of getting them done. I still have plenty of time left in the day to create and read and watch TV. Plenty of time.
Okay, that's it. I'm doing it. Starting now. Off to walk.
