What a week

Image
I have been so incredibly tired all week and I'm not exactly sure why.    But of course, last night I had energy to burn. Last night I was also working on my tumblers and that definitely helps. I got some sublimation tumblers from China yesterday and they are amazing. The colors are so bright and the lines so crisp. I love, love, love them.  The "My dog ate my lesson plan" is for a white elephant we are having today. The cat with books is for a coworker. We do this secret hero thing and are supposed to give them something once a month. Well, for the last couple of months I have forgotten so I decided to go big in December. I made her a tumbler and I'm giving here a gift card for Barnes & Noble. I cannot get over how good they look. Almost like I know what I'm doing - HA!!! So my next hurdle is how to get this business rolling. I want to start selling custom mugs and tumblers but I'm not sure how to get it going. I could post on my Facebook page and just s

Just a quick mid-week update

I have been so completely exhausted this week and I'm not sure why. I want to start tracking this because it happens at, what seems like, regular intervals. I'm not sure if it's because of the long break and the fun I had. Or if it is something that happens in a cycle. I do know that it happens regularly and I would like to be able to see the pattern. But yeah, Monday I had zero energy. None. I was so incredibly tired it was insane. Yesterday was considerably better but by the end of the day I felt like I needed a nap. Went to bed early last night and am hoping that will kind of shake this. But truthfully, I've needed the alarm to get up every day this week and that is unusual. I usually wake up before the alarm and then lay there and wait for it. Maybe it's the weather. I don't know but I do know that I want to get to the bottom of this. The good news is that it is Wednesday already. I'm excited.

is now in place. Spent most of yesterday putting this bad boy together, it took about an hour. Then it took me a couple of hours to work up the nerve to run my first piece, only to discover that something wasn't connected and all it did was burn a line for 17 minutes - that was scary.  Luckily it's a pretty simple set up and I was able to diagnose the problem easily and fix it. Then proceeded to run another print and made this:  It's pretty simple and it was from a template provided, but hey, it's my first item and it's cool. The whole thing is a little scary though, there is a laser cutting things in my craft room. We had to disconnect the smoke detector because it went off and would not stop. It does get a bit smoky, especially the wood. But it's still cool and I'll figure out how to run it without killing us all.  Today is Sunday. The last day of a 5 day break and our last break before the Christmas holidays. I have not done any school work in 5 days bec
