Correlation????

I think that I made a connection about my knee and my activity level. Last week my knee felt great. Great!!! Then the weekend came. Friday wasn't very active, I met with my nutritionist via Zoom, then we went and had the taxes done. Then it was off to lunch where I had 2 beers. Then it was home for a fairly lazy afternoon. I watched some TV in my room here and fell asleep in my chair. Walked Mavy and that was about it for the day. Saturday I did some Supernatural before Hubby got up, went to the gym, did a little cleaning, and then sat all afternoon because we had some friends over. Then came Sunday. I went to the gym, did some Supernatural, went to grocery shopping, and that was about it. I spent a lot of Sunday sitting or stretched out in my chair. By Sunday my knee was really starting to bother me and by Monday I was in agony. So my correlation is that my knee pain is directly related to my level of activity or lack thereof. Monday I was in complete agony with my knee and today I feel awesome. The more I move the better my knee feels. So that leads me to a couple of conclusions.

  1. I can't sit for hours at a time doing anything.
  2. I need to raise my desk at home here and leave it there.
  3. If I sit, I need to set a timer for 20ish minutes and get up when it goes off. Wait, my desk does that, need to figure out how it works.
I'm going to try it this weekend. I have a staff meeting tomorrow and I think I'm going to sit near the back and not actually sit much. I may be annoying, but I need to protect my knee.

Yesterday was Wednesday and Wednesday has been designated as my rest day from Supernatural. It is the day I get home latest and Hubby isn't home because he's out playing golf. Otherwise, I'm going to shoot for at least 20 minutes every day.  I've actually been pretty good about it because I really like doing it. Also, I have some cool accessories coming that really should help with it. I'm getting an official mat to workout on. I've been using a homemade mat that is 4 squares of squishy material all put together and cut up foam noodles on the edge as a border so I know where the edge is. This mat is an official Supernatural mat and I think it will work better than my homemade job. So that will be here today. Then I ordered prescription lenses for my headset so that I don't have to wear my glasses while in there. My glasses are no-line bifocal and sometimes if they move a little during a workout, it gets hard to see the targets. So I'm excited about those things all coming.

Okay, the tree has grown and I have to go to the bathroom.
