It all starts now.....

I've been looking at tomorrow as the real, true beginning. I've been on break and getting things together these past couple of days but tomorrow it's back to work and back to routine. So while tomorrow is the real start, I've been doing well these last couple of days. I have had zero sweets. Zero. I have had no bread. I've been to Crossfit every day except Friday. I'm very proud of myself. I have also kept my eating under control. I did not track today but I did not eat a whole lot either. Off to a great start.

Tomorrow they are serving us lunch and it could be anything. I'm going to eat a good breakfast and just make the best choices I can. I'm not going to beat myself up if I make a mistake, but I'm going to do the best I can. I think I'll be fine.

I'm in 2 diet bets this month. The first one started today and is for 28 days. There are only 3 people in it, but I could still win $90. The other one starts tomorrow and the pot is $245,000.....Nice.... I think the way it works is that we are trying to lose 4% body weight by the end of the bet. All the people that do lose 4% split the pot. I think. All I know is that you win money if you lose the weight. I'm hoping that it will give me the incentive to stay on track.

I went shopping today and did some cooking tonight. I have been kind of set on the paleo diet for the past year or so and I just don't think that is really working for me. I plan on sticking to whole, real foods and avoiding processed food as much as possible. I bought Greek yogurt and Grape Nuts so that I can have yogurt and grape nuts in the morning when I get up. I bought some peanut butter cups so that I can take them with apples for a snack. I made myself a breakfast casserole with chorizo, eggs, and cheese. It is delicious. I have some paleo chili in the crock pot, that should provide my lunches for the week. I have guacamole cups for garnish and hummus cups for snacks. I should be set.

I plan on staying around 1500 calories a day and going to try and burn at least 2000 calories a day. I will be logging my food so that I can keep track of that.

Okay, I'm ready. Let the fun begin.
