It's been a few days
and things have not been great. Last week I developed a pain in my shoulder. It was pretty serious and I was in a lot of pain. After a few days it wasn't healing as quickly as it should be. I finally went to the doctor and it seems that I might have torn the tendons in my shoulder. It's not torn completely, the doc said I would be in complete agony if that happened. So I'm taking ibuprofen and hoping it will heal on it's own. The doc said I could workout if I didn't go crazy but I decided to take a couple of days off to give it a rest. I'm also not going to do the kickboxing stuff anymore. I think that's what did me in. I really get into throwing those punches. Yesterday we had a party here and I'm a little hung-over today. I didn't run this morning and I'm debating about working out tonight. Maybe I'll start back in tomorrow.
In an interesting side note. I went to the doctor and stepped on the scale. Their scale said 192. Now I knew it was going to be up because a) it was in the afternoon; b) I had laid around most of the day because I was in pain; c) I had not drank much water in 2 days. But I was still shocked at that number. I was 175 in the morning and 192 in the afternoon?? That doesn't seem right. I know the difference can be up to 10 lbs - I've seen that on the scale - but 17 lbs seems an awful lot.
