Facing the music
Today is weigh in and I feel like the Goodyear Blimp. I'm not sure exactly why though I have a couple of ideas.
At home I do not drink enough water. At work I have 3 - 1 liter bottles that I keep in the fridge and it's my goal to go through them every day. As I finish one I sit it on the counter so I know I'm done with it. At the end of the day I refill the bottles and start over the next day. Usually I get at least 2 1/2 of them down. Most days I get 3 but never less then 2. At home I just don't do that. I have a water cooler, that doesn't help. I have an extra fridge that is stocked with water bottles, that doesn't help. So I've come up with yet another plan. This one is more closely related to what I do at work so I'm hoping it will work.
I went out and purchased 2 - 1 liter water bottles that look like bottles from the water cooler but with a handle and a drinking spout. My goal is to finish both of them on days I'm home. I figure I can carry them around very easily, drink from them very easily, and keep track of how much water I drink very easily. I know this is part of my problem so this is how I hope to solve it.
Also, since we are eating out today - twice, I'm starting my week tomorrow. My goal is to write everything down for the entire week. I've been slacking on this and I need to get back to it. Journaling makes a huge difference in how my week goes. I actually went out and bought a new purse on Thursday that is big enough to carry my journal. My other bag was too small and I tended not to carry it as a result.
At weigh in today I'm not going to look at the number on the scale. WW gives you the choice of not weighing in, but I know at some point I will want to know the number. Usually when I need a good swift kick in the pants, I will look at the number to shake up my reality. So I just won't look at the number on the scale, have them write it in my book and deal with it later. Kind of like Scarlett O'Hara, I'll think about it tomorrow.
Of most importance is, I get to go shopping today. Woo Hoo!!! Old Navy is having a big sale and since I'll be going into high school class rooms to learn to teach, I need some appropriate clothes. Right now I wear shorts and old t-shirts to work. That will never fly in school. So it's off to Old Navy this afternoon. Woo, what fun.
Okay, I have to go get ready to go to my meeting. I do not want to miss it completely.
