Blogger hates me!!!

Or maybe it's my computer that hates me. Now that I think about it, the entire inanimate world is pretty much out to get me. Paranoid??? No way!!!

Anyway, for whatever reason, I could not post Sunday or yesterday. Not that anything happened that was note worthy but I was trying to blog everyday for 30 days. Oh well, the best laid plans of mice and men..........

Meanwhile, life goes on. I have 1 more day of work left then a 4 day weekend - woohoo!!!!!

Rocco has managed to not rip open his stitches so that's good. They gave me an Elizabethan collar for him but when I put it on him he just sits there and whines. Not a pretty sight. But the wound looks like the edges have sealed and he doesn't seem to be too bothered by it, so I'm risking leaving it off. I love to live on the edge (the edge of financial ruin!! It will cost a fortune to have his face restitched).

Workouts have been happening. Due to some lower back pain I've added yoga and pilates 4 times a week and I'm really enjoying it. I love yoga and pilates is very similar. I did not make it to the pool this morning only because I didn't want to leave Rocco so early (I know, I'm insane!!) so it was pilates.

Well, there you have it. 3 days of my life in 5 paragraphs. God, I really need to get a life :)

I made a promise to myself after the ironman to give yoga/pilates a try. I've heard so many good things about both. I didn't care for it. I think it was because I stunk at it. Plus I was still in the ironman training mindset of ... hey if my HR isn't over 130 I'm not getting anything accomplished here... I probably should have stuck with it a bit longer. You said you were enjoying it, but has it helped the back pain?

P.S. I'm glad to hear that Rocco is doing better. I was getting worried since you hadn't posted in a few days.

One thing I miss right now is doing pilates for the core work. I can do some finally, but can definitely feel the need to get back to it. When I started pilates at least 6 years ago, no one had even heard of it. I don't do it all the time (especially now), but its something you can go back to again and again and get benefit from it.

Good luck with continued success with Rocco. Those collars are hilarious but I guess they do some good.
