Excellent weekend.

It started yesterday with a bike to ride to WW... Weigh in went well and I was down!!! Yea!!! 3rd week in a row, I may be on to something here :)

Then I decided to ride around for awhile. I haven't had a long ride in a long, long time so I thought this was a great idea, plus it was an absolute beautiful day. I ended up riding for 1:45 and covered 21 miles. Not the speediest but I haven't been out that long for awhile and so I was just cruising. It was perfect. I felt great when I was done.

After I had to go to work for an hour, then it was off to Ruby Tuesday's for lunch. That is becoming a Saturday routine too. Not sure if it's good or bad.

This morning was a long run. I was still on the fence about the 1/2 marathon next weekend so I decided to try and go long. I headed out and the first thing I noticed was how hot it was!!! My little temperature thingy said it was 77 when I got back but there were places along the way where there is no wind and I'm sure it was hotter than that.

Anyway, I ended up going about 7.75 miles in 1:40 (lots of walk breaks due to the heat). Again, not setting the world on fire but improving. I got further than I did last week in the heat so that's improvement.

Reviewing my training (or lack there of) over the past few months, I realized my running has suffered the most. When I did train I swam or biked, running was definitely pushed to the side. So I figure I have the greatest ground to cover there. Also, we are moving into summer and it is freaking hot. The tradewinds (the winds that keep us cool) are not very strong right now so it's hotter than it would be if they were blowing like normal.

Bottom line, I've ruled out the 1/2 next weekend. I have no doubt I could complete it but it would not be pretty. So that's definitely off. I am shopping around for a race the weekend of the 24-25th. A 10k would be awesome!!!

I'm also considering a sprint tri on July 2nd. It's the Firecracker Sprint and it's the same course as my last sprint, Iroquois Point, and I'm seriously considering it.

Well, that's it. I've got some house cleaning and laundry to do. I've got to revamp my training schedule since I've changed some things. I want to get things ready for next week, I need to keep this weight loss going. There's a thousand other things to do before I go to bed tonight. So I'm off.....

Smart call on the half marathon. If you're heart isn't in it, or the training? Could have been painful.

Ruby Tuesday's cannot be that bad. You're weight is still going down.
