UGH!!! It's raining.

The freaking weatherpoeple were right for a change, bastards!!! It's raining like crazy here, has been all night, and with no wind looks like it's gonna stay for awhile; bastards!!!! Anyhoo, I just have to blow my own horn. I got up this morning to pouring rain and decided to stay home since everytime it rains like this the Waikane stream floods and I didn't want to get stuck on the other side of it. So no open market and no weight watchers. Instead I decide to do some aerobic activity and the strength and functional exercises I blew off last night. I exercised for 1.5 hours this morning, woo hoo for me!!!!! I then made myself an incredible omlet and Texas potatoes for breakfast. Now I'm off to veg and read my book till I get inspired to do something else. The real reason I'm so proud of myself is it would have been so easy to blow exercise off this morning, believe me it crossed my mind more than once, but I did it anyway. Yeah for me!!!!!

Yeah, It's Friday :)

I do like Fridays. So, let's look back on the week. I did pretty good and am feeling fine about myself in general. I ate fairly well though I did not track points or calories or even follow Core. I exercised as I was supposed to except for tonight. I'm supposed to do strength and functional exercises tonight and just do not feel like it. I rarely lie around and do nothing but on Friday nights that's what I want to do. So the program says strength train 3x a week and functional exercise 6x a week. So if I do strength tomorrow, that will be 3 times, and functional exercises tomorrow and Sunday, that will be 6x. That will work. I have a race Sunday morning so that will be my extended exercise day and tomorrow I want to go for a bike ride if it's not raining like they threatened. I also want to do yoga and belly dancing this weekend. That should satisfy all my requirements and be some fun. :) Okay, well, I'm really stoked and am off to enjoy my night.

Thursday is usually the worst day

of the week for me. By Wednesday night or Thursday morning I am tired of exercising and watching what I eat. Wednesday night I usually flake out on my workout and Thursday morning I'm too tired to get up and workout. Also, Thursday mornings I usually convince myself to stop at 7-11 for coffee (god, I love their coffee) and then can't resist a pastry. If I do that, that usually ruins the whole day because I end up pigging out all day. Well, this morning I wanted their coffee but didn't stop and pigged out on oatmeal and grapes once I got to work. Also, I not only did my strength training and functional exercises last night but I got up and did 45 minutes on the treadmill. I am so very proud of myself :) I has been a good week and I will make it all the way through to the end. I need a really good week under my belt in order to keep my momentum going. Also, I feel so amazingly good, it's unreal. I feel muscles all over my body. My left leg IT band feels weird but it doesn...

Makeover Day 1

Well, I'm off to a good start. Did Crunch Dance Party this morning (that workout is just fun) and did strength training and functional exercises tonight. I can definetly feel the muscles in my arms and shoulders. That's good; that's what I want. Eating went really well also. I only had some potatoe chips after my evening workout (less than an oz. no biggie). So I'm feeling really great and righteous. I need a few really good days like these under my belt to keep me going. That's really all I have to say tonight :)

Here's something you'd never thought you'd see:

Okay, here's something I never thought I'd do in a million years, put a picture of myself in a bathing suit on the internet for all the world to see... Actually it's not too bad; trust me I've been worse. I'm still round in the middle but it's getting better. Also, this is after a week off exercise and eating with wild abandon. I was supposed to do a 10k this morning and I totally flaked out. The alarm went off and my back was hurting because of how I was sleeping and I just shut the alarm off and rolled over. I know that's an excuse and I am willing to own that. I was really iffy about doing it anyway so flaking out was not that big a stretch. Well, that's all I have to say. Tomorrow the exercise and healthy eating begins in earnest.

What a difference a day makes......

So all this week I've been dancing with pastry and cookies and candies and whatever grabbed my fancy. Today was the day I was to start getting my act together. I overslept so didn't get to exercise before weigh-in. And afterwards went to Niketown to pick up my packet for the race tomorrow. When I finished that I was hungry and decided to go meet Charlie for lunch. Mind you, I ate a healthy breakfast (banana and parfait from McD's) and lunch (Ceasar chicken wrap, pasta salad, and some fries). When I got home I was feeling sleepy and napped a little on the couch. The whole day I was debating about the race tomorrow. It's only 10k but I haven't trained all week. After my little nap we got up and walked the dogs and I was feeling great. For dinner we had Dirty Rice and artichoke. After dinner I was sitting watching tv and realized my stomach wasn't sticking out like it had most of the week. Also, I feel great. I'm sure I'm doing the race in the morning;...
