Step Away From the Cake

So Bush won the election; Thank God!!! I can't believe the arrogance of the anti-Bush crowd. Now, well over 1/2 of the country voted W back into office and these folks think everyone who voted for him is an idiot. Never mind the fact that Kerry never articulated anything; that he tried to push himself off as one of "us" when he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and has never held a real job in his life (4 months in Vietnam doesn't count); that he spent the entire campaign bashing Bush and telling us he had "a plan" but never sharing the plan. So all of his "supporters" (though they weren't really supporting him only voting against Bush) now think the folks who voted for him are idiots and haven't been paying attention. So the Dems cry that Bush is dividing the country yet they are the ones calling over 1/2 the country stupid. So who is really dividing the country??? All the Dems do is scream gloom and doom yet the Republicans are

What a day. I completed my first triathlon!!!! The Haleiwa Tri. It was a 400 meter swim, 12 mile bike, and 5K run. I completed it in 1:50 and since I was aiming for under 2 hours I did very, very well... I'm really stoked about it. I enjoyed it and will probably do more. I have learned some things though. I am competitive but tend to give up kind of easy. I tend to think I'm not athletic and so therefore won't win. Why is that?? There is no reason why I can't train and work hard and get good enough to place in my age category. I'm going to do just that. The triathlon season it pretty much over for this year. I'm going to bike and run and swim and get better. I have nowhere to go but up. I'm going to do it!!!
